In this episode, recorded just hours after polls close, Laura is joined by three experts with an up-close perspective on the legacy of this year’s campaigns, the up and down ballot results as of air time, and the work ahead, regardless of who wins the election. Activist Maurice Mitchell is the national director of the Working Families Party and a leading organizer in the Movement for Black Lives. He’s been on the streets all year. Scot Nakagawa is a senior partner of ChangeLab, an Asian American-led racial justice laboratory, where he focuses on how to prevent authoritarianism. Stacy Mitchell (no relation to Maurice) is an anti-monopoly activist and co-director of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. She works to build thriving, equitable communities.
