Cooperation and Community Wealth Building

About

What can organizations accomplish when they work together? A lot, it turns out. That’s the lesson that Kay Johnson, director of The Larder in Preston, UK, shares in this interview with Laura. The Larder, which operates a cafe, catering service and food-related courses, has been coordinating with other organizations in Preston to make healthy food affordable and accessible to everyone regardless of income. Through working with other local businesses, they’ve been able to identify more people at risk, including elderly people and those with disabilities, and make sure they get the support they need during this pandemic. Thanks to cooperation and community wealth building, Kay thinks Preston will not just survive the current crisis, but will re-emerge bigger and stronger than before due to the new ties and partnerships formed.
