In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Saket Soni hurried to the Gulf and started the New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice. What he found in the days after the storm was that corporations and politicians were doing everything they could to reshape the damaged city in their favor. Now, after Super Storm Sandy wreaked havoc on the Northeast, Saket has some words of advice for New York, New Jersey and other affected areas: It’s never too earlier to start rebuilding and reimagining the city we all want to live in.
