Full episode up Tuesday: In The New Black, a film by Yoruba Richen, same-sex marriage in the black community comes under examination, in particular, the black church which has long been a mainstay as a place to worship and to organize both socially and politically. Richen discusses the intersection of race, politics and sexual orientation and the controversial hold it has within the black community. Author Sarah Schulman also discusses LGBT solidarity with Palestine, and finding common ground within movements, while a new video filmed during recent protests against police violence shows the breadth of that movement.
